The Ukefrolics are an enthusiastic group of ukulele players and performers who are based and rehearse in the beautiful harbour town of Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway, with some group members travelling as far away as Southerness and Newton Stewart.
As our name suggest, we try to do our best to sing, entertain and basically live up to our name as we believe the world needs more frolics today. We are more of a family than a group, where everyone has a say in what we do. A great sense of humour and just being happy, reflects on to our audiences.
Other than the ukulele, our main band instrument, the band also has a percussionist, a drummer, and a bass guitar player, which keeps the whole band in time and makes our songs sound upbeat and engaging to listen to. You won’t regret booking the Ukefrolics for your next event! We will get your feet tapping, and we also may get you singing along to some well know songs too, like Bad Moon Rising, Wagon Wheel, The Locomotion, The Wellerman, Teenage Kicks and Take Me Home Country Roads, just to name a few. Book us today, to hear us perform some of these and some other well know songs. You will not be disappointed!
Since 2016, the Ukefrolics have brought their performances to audiences in villages and towns in the Dumfries and Galloway area, with the majority of gigs in the vicinity of Kirkcudbright, which is one of Scotland’s most vibrant communities with events, exhibitions and activities taking place throughout the year.
We meet on Sunday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Kirkcudbright Community Centre. If you want to find out more or you are interested in joining the group, please use our contact form or come along to one of our meetings where you will be most welcome to meet us and play and sing along with us.
